The story was reenacted on PAX It's a Miracle & for Warren Miller's Wild Survival in the Wilderness. In 2002, he purchased his pied--terre, a foreclosure & in complete disrepair. With little regard for cost, he remodeled w/a new floorplan, kitchen, bath, windows & wood floors. Not content, he spent another $10,000 installing private security surveillance to watch his 1965 Shelby Cobra. Once David had everything to his satisfaction he returned home for a visit, met his future wife & they are now building their dream home on a Lake.
